Designer

Job Description

 

As a Balloon Designer at Balloon Crew, Inc., you will play a key role in creating visually stunning and unique balloon decor for various events and occasions. We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented individual with a passion for transforming spaces with balloons. You will collaborate closely with the clients and Balloon Crew team to produce and execute balloon installations that leave a lasting impression. Must be able and willing to lift 50+ lbs., move and haul items around. There are lots of details and logistics to creating events behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Balloon Production: Production of assembling, inflation and organizing of décor concepts, rentals and balloon design and décor concepts that align with clients' event themes, color schemes, and Balloon Crew’s aesthetics and recipes.

  • Quick Thinking: Must be comfortable thinking of quick solutions onsite and last minute in case something changes or weather changes

  • Material Selection: Select from balloon inventory colors based on theme, sample or vibe, select supplies and other equipment to ensure the durability and aesthetics of balloon arrangements and structure hold up to our standards. Pull and sort balloon sizes and colors needed per style and per job sheet description.

  • Balloon Installation: Set up and install balloon decorations at event locations , including arches, garlands, helium bouquets, towers and backdrops. Maintain installations prior to event to ensure they remain visually appealing. Document final look or process of install for social media and final approval from Balloon Crew owner and manager.

  • Transportation: Safely transport balloons and equipment to and from event locations in company vehicles. Understand nuances with balloons temperament for oxidization, popping and cleanliness. Bagging and transporting in best ways possible to ensure final look is to Balloon Crew standards.

  • Storage and Inventory: Organize, maintain an inventory of balloons, accessories, and equipment. Delegate protocol to ensure proper supplies for each team vehicle are replenished and reordered when running low or out of stock.

  • Safety: Teach and follow safety protocols and guidelines for handling helium and latex balloons to ensure a safe working environment and when transporting or moving backdrops or equipment.

Crew Member (Part-Time or Full-Time)

Job Description:

 

  • Assist in the preparation, delivery, and setup of balloon decorations for various events, including non-profit, social, corporate events, and more.

  • Drive company van to event locations; a valid driver's license with less than 2 points for moving violations is required.

  • Inflate, tie, and arrange balloons according to design specifications.

  • Set up and take down balloon decorations at event venues.

  • Lift up to 25 pounds and climb ladders as needed.

  • Work closely with our team to ensure timely and efficient execution of events.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Valid driver's license with less than 2 points for moving violations.

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds and climb ladders.

  • Reliable transportation to and from our office and to event sites on occasion

  • Ability to work well in a team environment, support the project manager and follow instructions.

  • Enthusiasm, creativity, and a positive attitude are a must!

Office Assistant (Part-Time)

Job Description

 

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations. Duties will include handling accounts payable and receivable, cash management, and various other administrative functions. This role requires a proactive individual with strong multitasking abilities and excellent communication skills, and wants to learn the decor side of the business. 

Requirements

  • Experienced as an Office Administrator, Bookkeeper, or in a similar administrative role.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and processes.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and accounting software (QuickBooks)

  • Knowledge of 17Hats is a plus.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in accounting or business administration is a plus.
